So where to start?
I guess a 'welcome back' is in order for the Arctic Monkeys whose new video is out. Crying lightning is the first track released off their third album. It took me a few times to listen through it, but after that I can happily say it's a real good song. Different but good. Looking forward to hearing the new album.
Next, Florence and the machine. A band that everyone seems to like them. or at least have a favourite....Rabbit Heart (Raise it up).
If you were wondering.
You can't help but love Florence and her people.
My current favourite video of this summer has to be by the German named Scots Franz Ferdinand. The video for Can't stop feeling really good and just a fun video. Simple concept. Still really good. And of course not to mention, a pretty good song as well. Slidey transitions makes Rohan shhhmmmmiiiiiiiillllle.
Busta Rhymes - Pass the Courvoisie Absolutely class track.
Epic video. And oldie. But you can't hate it. Don't know why but I've been obsessed with this song since I've been back from uni.
Jamie T's latest single has been out since the beginning of summer but in truth, I've only just gotten into it. It's a slight change from songs like Sheila and If you got the money, but I've come to like its upbeat..ness. And as ever with Jamie T, lovely lyrics about general teenage life and coping with raging hormones being nullified by the binge drinking lifestyle.
Cee-lo and Danger Mouse make up Gnarls Barkley and the two of their albums: St. Elsewhere and The Odd Couple are both nang. A sick combination soul, r'n'b and rock makes them a class act.
With it being summer and there being quite the music festivals being shown on tv there was one band, quite an old band but one I did forget about for a while. Yea, The specials. Who else would I be talking 'bout. Here's one of their classics Ghost Town.
Lastly, it's Kasabian. Fire is just a brilliant track. Nuff said.
Thank you and good night.
